Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge

Coastal marshes, tidal flats and prairie at Brazoria NWR offer dense wildlife — migrating shorebirds, raptors, wading birds and occasional alligators — plus reflective waterways and dramatic skies. Best at sunrise/sunset and on low tide when mudflats expose feeding birds. Winter and spring migrations are peak seasons. Small parking area off FM‑2004; trails and viewing blinds are mostly flat but can be muddy—bring waterproof boots. No entrance fee; respect refuge rules and keep distance from nest
