A 130-mile scenic route through Daniel Boone National Forest: shoot sweeping ridgelines, sandstone cliffs, narrow hollows, creek cascades and dramatic fall colors. Best light at sunrise/sunset and during autumn; mornings give mist in valleys. Road is mostly paved but narrow—pullouts and trailheads provide parking; no entry fees. Expect variable weather; cell service can be limited. Weekdays are quieter for long-exposure streams and compositions without cars.
