A low-lying Florida WMA of tidal creeks, marshes and cypress-lined channels — excellent for birdlife, alligators, seasonal reflections and intimate wetland landscapes. Visit at dawn/dusk for golden light and active wildlife; late dry season concentrates animals on remaining water. Access from Dixon Trail parking; minimal facilities—check Florida Fish & Wildlife for current access rules and hunting seasons. Expect muddy trails and mosquitoes; waders or waterproof boots recommended.
