Wooded boardwalks, bald cypress-lined channels and the Spillway’s rushing water offer intimate foregrounds and long-water exposures. Best at golden hour or pre-dawn for mist over the water and rich side light on trunks; autumn brings color and winter exposes branch structure. Trails are short and mostly flat—accessible from Hot Springs with roadside parking at trailheads; no permit required. Expect mosquitoes in summer and higher water/stronger flow after rains.
