Ed Jenkins National Recreation Area

A 23-mile stretch of the Toccoa River corridor with forested canyons, rapids, waterfalls and wooden bridges — ideal for river, forest and autumn-color photography. Best visited at dawn or golden hour for soft side-light on cliffs and water; late October–early November for peak foliage. Access via multiple Forest Service trailheads and pullouts off GA-60; no entrance fee but some trailheads have limited parking and uneven terrain. Weekdays are quieter; expect damp, shady conditions that favor ND/
