Hallasan

Hallasan is an extinct volcanic peak and highest point in South Korea — photograph alpine meadows, the crater lake Baengnokdam, sweeping panoramas above cloud inversion, seasonal azaleas (spring) and fiery foliage (autumn). Best at sunrise or late afternoon for side-light on ridges; weekdays and early mornings reduce crowds. Trails (Seongpanak, Gwaneumsa) are steep; allow 4–10 hours for summit hikes. Park at trailheads or take buses from Seogwipo. Weather changes rapidly — bring layers and check
