Black Walnut Bottom Trail

Quiet wooded trail through riparian bottomland with mature walnut and mixed hardwoods, small creek crossings and open meadow pockets — great for intimate woodland, seasonal color and stream long-exposures. Best light early morning or late afternoon; autumn and spring are most photogenic. Easy roadside parking at the Ham Horton Ln trailhead; no fee. Trail is mostly dirt and can be muddy after rain; expect ticks/insects and limited cell signal.
