Skibotn is famed for very clear skies (great for Milky Way/aurora). Best: midnight sun/golden hour in summer; Sept–Apr nights for aurora. Easily reached by car on Skibotsveien with roadside parking; be respectful of private land and local Sami culture. Weather is changeable; dress warm and plan for fast light shifts.
